Hasselt, 1 July 2025 – The Easy Wear Luna daily lens, a private label contact lens from Hans Anders, has been recognized a ‘Best Buy’ by consumer organization Testaankoop. In a comparative test of 21 daily lenses, the Easy Wear Luna lens emerged as the most cost-effective choice, earning an excellent score of 80 out of 100.
“These daily lenses are not only top quality, but also the most affordable in our test. They offer good oxygen permeability, a comfortable fit, and excellent UV protection.” – Testaankoop
The Easy Wear Luna performed strongly across multiple criteria. The lens power, diameter, base curve, and water content matched the stated specifications exactly. Its oxygen permeability—particularly in the central part of the lens—was also positively evaluated. In addition, the lens offers Class II UV protection, filtering at least 50% of UV-A and 95% of UV-B rays. Priced at €0.83 per day for both eyes, Easy Wear Luna was also the most affordable lens in the test.
“This recognition confirms that our value-for-money strategy is working and aligns with what customers value most,” says Karin van Braam, Chief Buying Officer at nexeye. “We combine quality and comfort with affordability – without compromising on performance.”
According to Hans Anders, the Easy Wear Luna daily lens offers long-lasting wearing comfort. This is due to the use of silicone hydrogel and Aquagen technology, which naturally keeps the lens hydrated. With a water content of 56% and high oxygen permeability, the lens is suitable for daily use and delivers reliable performance for lens wearers.
The Easy Wear Luna also makes a contribution when it comes to sustainability. The packaging features the Plastic Bank logo: for every pack sold, an equivalent amount of plastic is removed from the ocean. In this way, the lens contributes not only to plastic neutrality but also to social impact in vulnerable communities.
“As a product expert, I rarely see a lens that performs so well on all technical aspects and still costs less than one euro per day,” says Roy Aandekerk, Category Manager Contact Lenses at Hans Anders. “This truly sets a new standard in the market.”
The independent test by Testaankoop was conducted according to a strict protocol, with products purchased anonymously and subjected to independent laboratory testing. The Easy Wear Luna emerged as the clear winner in terms of value for money.
A box of 30 lenses (for one eye) costs €12.50. The lens is available via hansanders.be, in all Hans Anders stores, and at an even better price through the Hans Anders Lens Total Plan.
