New App "Show Don't Tell" Increases Customer Satisfaction in nexeye’s Optician Stores

March 2024 Gorinchem – In a continuous effort to make high-quality eye care accessible and affordable for everyone, nexeye, the retail platform of chains Hans Anders, Direkt Optik, and eyes + more, has taken a progressive step with the launch of the innovative app "Show Don't Tell," which supports employees and customers in making choices in the store. The app, developed in collaboration with Ditar, is being deployed at Hans Anders and Direkt Optik, with plans for implementation at eyes + more in the near future.

The traditional eyewear sales process limits customers in visually experiencing lens options, colors, and frame styles, making it difficult to make the right choices. "Show Don't Tell" breaks through these limitations," says Yves van Hest, Director of Business Development at nexeye, who conceived the idea for the app with colleagues. "By visually providing customers with a preview of possible eyewear options, they can much better discern which choices suit them based on lifestyle and appearance. The feedback from both store employees and customers has been very positive. It gives them more confidence in choosing frames and lenses, resulting in 1 in 10 customers making better choices, leading to higher customer satisfaction."

The collaboration with Ditar, an expert in augmented reality in eyewear, has led to the development of this innovative app. Ditar founder Alexandra Macsimov states: “Elevating eyewear shopping into captivating experiences with augmented reality technology is at the heart of Ditar's mission. We are proud to partner with nexeye. Our data-driven approach highlights that a dedicated focus on digital transformation not only boosts efficiency but also brings about a noticeable improvement in overall customer satisfaction.”

The launch of the "Show Don't Tell" app underscores nexeye's ongoing commitment to retail innovation, aiming to enhance customer satisfaction and experience, both in-store and online, and increase operational efficiency. This is the next step in realizing nexeye's mission to make high-quality eye and ear care accessible and affordable for everyone.
