NEXEYE ACHIEVES SIGNIFICANT GREEN MILESTONE: Shifts from gas to heat pumps, earns energy label A rating.
Nexeye successfully transitioned away from gas usage by installing heat pumps in his head office and warehouse in Gorinchem (Netherlands). This remarkable shift has propelled the headoffice and central warehouse from an EU energy label C to an energy label A rating.
With these new heat pumps in place, nexeye anticipates a reduction of approximately 74.400 kg of CO2 emissions by saving 41.823 m3 natural gas per year. To put this in perspective; an average household consumes 1,500 cubic meters of natural gas annually, resulting in an estimated 2,745 kg CO2 emissions per year.
For nexeye, the installation of the heat pumps is a major leap toward a greener future. Nexeye is not only making a tangible impact on his carbon footprint but also ensuring a comfortable working environment for their teams. In the recent cold weather, the importance of reliable heating during chilly periods has become really apparent.
The installation of the heat pumps is part of nexeye’s roadmap to make operations more sustainable and the next step after the expansion of our electric fleet and installation of 556 solar panels in the summer of 2023.
